A place under Hermon, in the valley of Lebanon, referred to only as the northern limit of the country conquered by Joshua (Jos 11:17; 12:7; 13:5). Various identifications have been suggested, all uncertain. Perhaps Banias is the most probable. See C
Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even to Baal-gad, in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.
